Dr. Trinh brings a unique blend of expertise, dedication, and military precision to his practice, having served as a US Navy veteran. Dr. Vy Nguyen, DDS
Dr. Vy Nguyen, DDS, is a skilled and patient-focused general dentist at SmilexPro Dentistry. A graduate of Marquette University with advanced AEGD training, she also served as a U.S. Army Dental Officer, gaining extensive experience in restorative, endodontic, and emergency care. She is certified in minimal sedation and sleep apnea treatment and is committed to making each patient’s experience comfortable and informed. Fluent in English and Vietnamese, Dr. Nguyen values building trust through clear communication. Outside the office, she enjoys exploring Houston’s food scene, traveling, and discovering local gems in and around the city she now calls home.
Dr. Thanh Vu, DMD
Dr. Thanh Vu, DMD is a licensed general dentist in Texas with over 20 years of experience in dentistry. Originally from Long Beach, California, he earned his master’s degree from California State University, Long Beach. He later received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Following his dental training, Dr. Vu built his career providing comprehensive general dentistry with a focus on preventive care, patient education, and individualized treatment planning. He now practices permanently in the Houston area, where he is dedicated to supporting long-term oral health for his patients.
Dr. Vu is known for his calm, straightforward approach and takes time to listen, explain treatment options clearly, and help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visits.
Dr. Kathleen Mai, DDS
Dr. Kathleen Mai is a compassionate dentist who has proudly served the Houston community for more than 25 years. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized, high-quality care in a welcoming and comfortable environment.
Known for her gentle approach and attention to detail, Dr. Mai believes dentistry is about more than treating teeth — it’s about building trust and making every patient feel at ease. Patients value her warmth, professionalism, and commitment to creating a positive dental experience.
Dr. Mai provides comprehensive dental care with a focus on prevention, long-term oral health, and beautiful results. She takes time to listen to each patient and develop treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Outside the office, Dr. Mai is actively involved in the community and has served in leadership and volunteer roles with organizations including Viet Ngu Hung Vuong and the Houston Asian Dental Society.
